Auto Repair & Body Shop in Garland, TX
Honest diagnostics.
Fair prices.
Work you can trust.
Cruise Automobile is a full-service repair and body shop serving Garland and the surrounding Dallas area. Diagnostics, oil changes, brakes, A/C, suspension, electrical, engine and transmission work — all under one roof.

We diagnose before we quote
No parts get replaced on a hunch. We find the fault, then tell you what it costs.
The price we say is the price you pay
If we find something else mid-job, you get a call — not a surprise on the invoice.
Mechanical and body work in one shop
You're not shuttling the car between a mechanic and a body shop to get it right.
We'll tell you when not to fix it
Sometimes the honest answer is that the repair costs more than the car is worth. You'll hear it from us.
About the shop
A Garland shop built on straight answers
Most people don't dread the repair bill so much as they dread not knowing whether it was necessary. We built Cruise Automobile around fixing that.
We handle the full range of work — diagnostics, routine maintenance, brakes, A/C, suspension, electrical, and major engine and transmission jobs — plus auto body and collision repair.
That means one shop for the whole life of your car: maintain it here, fix it here when something goes wrong, and get the panel straightened here when someone backs into it.

What our customers say
Rated 4.5 out of 5, with 10+ five-star reviews on Google.
10+ five-star reviews from 34 customers in Garland and the surrounding area.
“Two other shops wanted to start swapping parts and hoping something stuck. Cruise actually diagnosed it — turned out to be a sensor, not the transmission. They saved me somewhere north of two thousand dollars by taking the time to test it properly instead of guessing.”
“Called about a grinding noise and they got me in the same day. Showed me the worn pads before replacing anything, and the price was exactly what they quoted. No upsell, no runaround.”
“My A/C died in the middle of July. They found the leak, fixed it right, and it has been ice cold since. Honest mechanics are hard to find in Garland.”
“Quick oil change, and they flagged a tire that was wearing badly on the inside edge. Appreciated the heads-up instead of just letting me drive off on it.”
FAQ
Questions we get a lot
If yours isn't here, call the shop — we'd rather answer it on the phone than have you guess.
Do I need an appointment?+
Walk-ins are welcome, and we often have same-day availability for diagnostics, oil changes, and brake work. For larger jobs — engine, transmission, or body work — call ahead at (682) 246-3449 so we can reserve bay time and order parts.
Will you tell me what's wrong before you start working?+
Always. We diagnose first, then call you with what we found, what it will cost, and what can safely wait. Nothing gets repaired without your approval.
My check engine light is on. Is it safe to drive?+
It depends. A steady light usually means bring it in soon. A flashing light means stop driving and have it towed, because you may be damaging the catalytic converter. Either way, a parts-store code reader tells you where to look, not what to fix — bring it in and we'll test it properly.
What vehicles do you work on?+
Cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans — domestic and import. Everything from daily commuters to work vehicles.
How often should I change my oil?+
Most modern vehicles on full synthetic run 5,000 to 7,500 miles between changes, but your manufacturer's schedule and your driving habits matter. Short trips, heavy towing, and Texas heat all shorten the interval. We'll check your manual and give you a real number.
Ready to get your vehicle looked at?
Same-day diagnostics are often available. Call and talk to the people who will actually work on your car.
